There are many ways to identify key entities within i2 Analyst’s Notebook. For example, we can frame them, increase their size, group them and even change the label’s font. The Selection Sets function in the Select menu is also a great option!

Using Selection Sets is a simple way to group and identify key entities scattered around your chart. The attribute of each set also provides you with many ways to quickly find key entities and apply conditional formatting. It thus simplifies the analysis, the visualization and the final charts distribution.

To do this, add the new entities within their own respective Selection Sets every time they come to light. As depict on the sample chart below, Attributes will then identify the sets (i.e. 1, 2 and 3 in yellow in this example).
